The lay of the land

Day 664 - after a few days here we decided to take the grand tour that will give us the Kay of the land; that will give names to buildings we saw and add stories to that all. We decided on a tour in our language and with people from our country, since we are the only people speaking that language. It was so very interesting and the right thing to do. We met really nice people, we could crack jokes and just have good old time and on top of it we learned a lot. The stories are what make a trip to a city interesting and unique. We can find churches everywhere but one with a particulars story there is only one. And that's what will stay with us. We learned some of the history of this country and some of the important names. And we saw the most beautiful bridge in town. We even took a boat trip on the river. But I liked the bridge and the vista from the Prague castle the most. Again, wandering through streets we didn't stroll before, we were amazed by the beauty of this old and very classic city. We learned that it was not harmed during the war, spared by the Germans as well as by the allied forces and this is why we see so many old buildings with no modern ones in between like in most other European capitals. We fell in love with this city, even if not very amazed by its food, and I sure hope to be back here again.

I am thankful for a trip that is coming to its end. I feel so prevail edged to have this special time with my daughter and I am so thankful for that. I am thankf we got to celebrate her transition from youth to adult, just the two of us, in this most beautiful place. I am thankful for a wonderful day.
